I've never owned a denim jacket. Even as a youngster I can't remember ever wearing one and I very much veered away from denim in my youth. Oh how things have changed.
I really wanted a new jacket for autumn and was extremely hesitant about buying a denim one as I really wasn't sure whether they would suit me - especially the oversized kind. It's a bit silly really as anyone who looks at my Instagram will know that I wear a lot of denim and even I'm surprised it's taken me this long to buy one.
Anyway, so there is a small story behind this jacket. As I said, I was really hesitant to make the purchase in the first place so I did my order and decided to take it to Norway with me. I said to myself, if I wear it and I like it I'll keep it but if it stays in the suitcase it's going back. Well, I didn't wear it. Not even once. So why didn't I send it back? There was something about it that stopped me, the first casual Friday at work I wore it (thank God for long returns periods!) and as soon as I walked in I got a compliment on it - now that's a sure sign. At this point I still had the label on it (cheeky I know) but it soon came off.
Since that moment I'm obsessed - I feel like it goes with everything and I want to wear it with everything - I have to refrain otherwise it's all you guys will see! I don't know what changed my mind so dramatically but all I can say is that if you're undecided about a denim jacket...go for it...the possibilities are endless!
